Today I am in Rabat, in a beautiful hotel with vast gardens, just across the street from the royal palace. Apparently there isn't much to see here -- it's mostly government and business buildings -- and that's fine with me. At the risk of offering too much information, I have had a stomach problem most of the day and have spent all afternoon in my room, postponing my tourist plans until tomorrow. My guide said we will be able to see everything in Rabat in under two hours. I don't know if I ate something that didn't agree with me or if all my adventures are catching up with me and I just needed a day of recuperation. Either way, I'm hoping to be full-steam ahead for my time in Marrakech.

I'll leave you with a few pictures. I'm going back to my tea. (And I just realized that I forgot to tell the story of the "broken underwear"! I'll get to that soon. It has to do with the tiny paper underwear in the spa at the Fez hotel. Really -- it wasn't my fault; they were very small!)
