Tell It Slant

Actually, please don't. Do you ever think about how much easier life would be if people just said what they meant? I'm pretty good at sussing out nuance behind words -- when the words themselves aren't clear -- but today has been one of those days when everything seems to have more meaning behind it than I can decipher. Today has been the kind of day that makes me glad I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow, don't have to interact in any way I don't feel like interacting.

And it wasn't just me; one of my friends called to tell me about a situation with another friend (one I don't know) whose miscommunication put my friend into a bind, personally and financially. None of my situations was like that; I just vacillated between feeling like I was missing something and like I was reading too much into things. Oh, it's getting late and I'm tired. There's nothing "slant" about that. I couldn't be "slant" if I tried right now. I'm hoping for a clearer day tomorrow.
