Unprepared

It's after 11:00 p.m. and we just returned to my house from our trip. Not only am I feeling unprepared for my class meeting tomorrow night, but despite my daily checks on students' emails and work, I'm discovering only now that some of them don't even know where to find our academic platform -- much less use it. Why are they just telling me this now? I have a lot of work to do tomorrow, the last day my family will be here, but it seems the students have even more. (I know they always think they do more than I do; this time they might be right.) I don't understand how my college can sign these students up for hybrid classes (half online, half in person) without showing them how to use the system. I'm learning that there's actually a lot the college isn't preparing them for.

As you can see, vacation is over. Already -- fifteen minutes after getting home -- my mind is completely on work issues. There is other business (also work-related) that is bothering me, but I don't feel like getting into that now. The only thing I want to get into now is my own sweet bed!
