Un-Birthday

Since we're pretty sure we won't all be together again before a few family birthdays, we've decided to have an un-birthday party. My youngest granddaughter will be five at the end of the month, and we're doing it mostly for her, but my youngest son's birthday is in early August and mine is in September. We went to the main store on the island -- there's not much here, which is part of the reason I like it -- and ordered a decorated cake. I had the bakery lady write "A Very Happy Unbirthday to You" on it, ala Alice in Wonderland. She caught on right away.

We went out for lunch today, our first meal out of the bungalows since we arrived. I'm running down to the Gulf with my oldest son (everyone else is resting after our delicious seafood feast) for what might be our last dip. It's 6:30 p.m., so I'm not worried about sunburn. Throughout our trip I've been the only one who has managed to just tan, not burn. I'd like to keep it that way. Enough for now. We're going to enjoy our last night on-island and head home tomorrow. It's been a great time, but I'm fine with going home tomorrow. I'll get back to work so I can earn some money to buy another wonderful vacation. Other than my mortgage and minimal bills, that's all I care about spending money on.
