Back to Class: Part 2

Next Tuesday my other class starts. I'm glad, not just because I like my current crop of students and am hoping for a similar batch, but also because I don't like not going to work until 5:00. Well, technically I go to work at 3:30 -- after my traffic-related lateness a few weeks ago, I'm not taking any chances -- but when I have my lesson prepared and my papers graded, I don't know what to do with myself until it's time to leave the house.

Starting next week, and for the six to eight following weeks, I'll be leaving home around eleven in the morning. This is good. I'll still have time to relax with coffee and neaten up the house a bit, but I'll no longer have to twiddle my thumbs for several hours in the afternoon. I wasn't sure how well I'd do with even an hour and a half class (that's the length of the one I've been teaching for the past month) much less a three-hour one (the length of the new one). But it's been fine. We have kept busy the entire class period, and I am often surprised when time is up already. We'll see how the three-hour class goes.
