Recipe Pictures

I'm still sick. I've really been downplaying it here, at least, but this morning I felt horrible enough to go to urgent care (since I don't have a doctor up here) and I found out I have pneumonia. I'm on enough medicine to put down a water buffalo. Two out of three of my sons are taking care of me (the other is on his way back from Pittsburgh where his girlfriend's father lives) and we just ate dinner. I definitely didn't want to cook anything today because I feel like a big walking germ, and I don't have the wherewithal to think up a recipe, so instead I thought I'd share photos of some recently recipes I've written here.

These are two desserts displayed on my very cool drop-down Mexican-tile-top table. In the foreground is pumpkin swirl cheesecake with gingersnap crust, and in the background is chocolate-chocolate chip Bundt cake, which is especially dark because I used onyx cocoa powder I found in New Mexico. Maybe it will be helpful to have a visual as you make the desserts, or the pictures will tempt you to make the desserts, or you'll just enjoy the picture. I'm going back to sleep.
