It was bad enough when Black Friday was the day after Thanksgiving. It keeps getting earlier and earlier. I've been receiving emails for the past two weeks saying, "Black Friday starts now!" Can't we at least enjoy and digest our meal first? This all plays into the ridiculous commercialization of . . . everything. You couldn't pay me to shop tomorrow -- or today. I saw that some of the bigger stores were opening tonight around six and staying open until the wee hours. This is just miserable for the employees.
I'm rambling, and I'm going to stop. I am fully satiated. I had a wonderful day with one son and his girlfriend, and talked to my other two sons. My young associate stopped by and brought more dessert. I have no need of anything else, material or otherwise. I hope everyone is feeling equally satisfied tonight.
