Birthday 73

Today would have been my mom's seventy-third birthday, and it's the first birthday since she died. It's harder than I thought it would be, especially because I feel like I'm the only one who is thinking about it. Maybe it's on my sons' minds too; I'm not sure. We all have a lot going on right now. It has also been a year since we first discovered how ill my mother was and since she went into the nursing home. I have decided to write something down and put it away for my granddaughters (and future grandchildren) with as much information as I can remember about my mother and other relatives, and later about myself. It will be nice for them to have detailed memories of family members as they (the grandchildren) get older.
