Pardon My Language . . .

But our current political climate is one big clusterfuck! I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know -- or, if you don't know it, nothing I say will convince you. And I get that there are lots of "those yous" around. I can't understand how so many people can continue to support our "esteemed leader" despite all the craziness. On the other hand, I can't believe that enough people supported him that he was able to get into office. On yet another hand, I don't understand how anyone can defend the "severed head" meme by pointing out all the hateful memes about Obama. Both things can be seen as disgusting and intolerable, regardless of your political leanings, just from a human standpoint. I see a lot of pictures and posts saying things like, "If you weren't outraged by this [insert racist meme about Obama], you can't be outraged about this [insert severed head photo]." What this statement seems to ignore is that some of us see both as (at least) inappropriate and (at most) treasonable. It is endlessly stupid to justify one horrible act with another.

Whatever we think of our current "leader" (and I'm sure my feelings are pretty clear), he is his own greatest enemy and will do a fine job of one thing: getting himself out of office. I have believed that since the day he was supposedly elected. Okay, I'll concede that he was elected. It's a hard fact to accept that, regardless of the motivations of those who elected him, so many people were able to ignore his sliminess and greed. I should stop writing; I hear a knock on the door, and it's probably the Secret Service. Have a Happy Covfefe, and I'll see you next time.
