Wow, I am wiped out! Supposedly this is normal in the first few cleanse days. What's probably not normal is that I got so hungry this afternoon I ate most of my dinner before 5:00. Not sure if I mentioned that I'm having two shakes, two snacks, and a meal, along with a slew of vitamins. Last night I cooked two chicken breasts with a sweet potato and cubed zucchini. I also steamed some green beans. I ate everything except one of the chicken breasts and half of the green beans last night. By 4:00 this afternoon I was so hungry I ate the rest of the green beans -- cold, straight from the fridge -- and a half hour after that I ate the second piece of chicken. That's my entire planned evening meal except for a sweet potato (or other high-quality gluten-free carb).
Today was harder than yesterday because I was working. And I was working from home! I can't imagine how someone who works in an office can follow this program and stay on schedule, but I know lots of people do. That's what's keeping me going, the knowledge that so many people have followed this program and done well. If they can do it, so can I! Within the next few days, I will allegedly have more energy than I've felt in years. In the meantime, I'm just going to rest. And work. And rest some more.
