I Just Can't Watch!

Fortunately, I have been out of my house most of the day. I'm home for a few minutes until I go out to meet a friend for dinner. I can't help myself; if I'm home, I'll watch election results, and the whole thing is making me too nervous. I know I'll watch after dinner. I even had a cup of coffee this afternoon -- something I rarely do -- so I can hopefully see the end, if in fact it ends tonight. I would love to have excessive adult beverages with dinner, but I know I won't. I have an early-afternoon class, as well as an evening class, tomorrow. So I'll have to face the election results, whatever they may be, stone-cold sober (assuming I'm awake when they come in).

The early polls I'm seeing now (yes, of course I turned on the news while I'm home) are horrifying. I can only hope that when I get back in a few hours it will be looking a lot better. I really don't think the news channels should show any early polls or predictions. It's just not fair for the three time zones to the west of us. If I were in one of those zones, I could see myself possibly not voting because my candidate was (or wasn't) predicted to win. Anyway, time to go. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
