After three days of our shared fence (which actually belongs to him), my neighbor pulled it out of my yard and propped it up on his side. That lasted one day. It fell into his yard, better than in mine but still not solving the problem. It stayed down for a day, then he propped it up on his side again. Obviously, he isn't anchoring it in any way; today it's back down, in his yard again. I'd really like not to care, but I don't want his big dog to come into my yard -- and I certainly don't want my little dog to get into his yard. At some point, I'll probably have to deal with this, but I have other things to take care of now. Not only that, but it has become a battle of the wills. At least, that's how I'm experiencing it. Maybe he's just lazy and doesn't see it as a battle at all; perhaps he simply doesn't care whether it's up or down and is making only a token effort.
Oh, well. It's Sunday night and I have a new class starting tomorrow. All the grades are in for my classes that ended last week, and tomorrow I will work on mid-term grades for my full-term classes. The last thing I need or want to care about is the stupid fence (but I probably will care until it's fixed, and I'll probably be the one, ultimately, to fix it -- but not tonight).
