Dreams Really Do Come True

So I made my wishes last night for a better day, and each of them was granted. Not only did my old computer hold a charge, but somehow I managed to resurrect my new one. I don't know why it didn't work yesterday, and I don't know why it worked today. That meant two of my great hopes were realized: no computer problems and access to my class papers. I hit paydirt with Wish #3 when I logged on for my scoring shift. I was a scoring leader without a roster. Usually I don't like that, and it rarely happens, but today I was elated! After yesterday, I did not feel like dealing with any raters. It was perfect, even if it was two hours longer than I had expected. So to rephrase, it was as perfect as a six-hour scoring shift with one fifteen-minute break can be.

I'm feeling pretty lucky. Maybe I should play the lottery. Instead I think I'll hold onto my money and plan something nice (and free or low-cost) for myself tomorrow. I have the day off -- from scoring, at least -- but I do have some planning and grading to take care of for my classes. Still, it will be nice to have a leisurely morning and get things done when I feel like it. I'm grateful for all of my work opportunities, but I'm feeling perhaps "overly blessed" at the moment. I could wish for bigger things and see if they came true too, but I don't want to press my luck and/or use up my wishes when I don't need them. I am tremendously relieved that I won't have to take my computer in for repairs or {shudder} buy a new one already. I'm not asking for anything else, apart from my usual good intentions for everyone I know, and even those I don't.
