On many occasions, probably recently, I have complained about being bored. Today you will not hear any complaints. After the crazy week I've had, I'm happy to be resting in my house with several crochet projects within reach, going through at least one week's worth of mail. While it's not a particularly exciting way to pass a Sunday afternoon, I've had enough excitement to last a while. I'm just grateful that I feel well and am not having any crazy allergic reactions or complications from procedures, happy not to be in the emergency room or any doctor's office.
My students will be turning papers in online this evening, so I'll have more to do tomorrow. But today I am letting dinner cook itself (barbeque chicken in the crockpot), watching "murder shows", wearing sloppy clothes, and propping my feet up. Maybe I'll finish a project; maybe I won't. I don't care. It's one of those feeling-grateful-for-the-small-things kind of day, and I think it might be a while before I complain again about being bored.
