When You're Tired of Resting

So I'm supposed to be taking it easy until my sinus infection starts to clear but am not doing a very good job. I'm bored. After a day on an antibiotic, I'm already starting to feel better -- my doctor started to add a prescription for pain medicine to the other drugs he gave me, but I told him not to bother -- other than the spinning my head does when I move too quickly or over-exert myself. The latter hasn't been much of a problem; to be honest, neither has the former. When my son was here we had started taking walks, a habit I had intended to keep up. I'll get back to it when my head is clearer and the weather is more hospitable. It's quite cold by Florida standards (a high of 54 today, I think); it's raining lightly and the wind is blowing. It cuts right through you.

I did lie down for a while yesterday, but I was antsy. I slept a lot last night, which is probably part of the reason I feel better. I've done some organizing and crocheting, both of which are pretty low-effort endeavors. And then I got online. This also was low-effort, but I thought of some things I needed to update and/or replace, so I started shopping. I didn't actually spend any money, as the Wayfair website was flaking out, not just on me but also on the representative I called. Perhaps it was a sign from God that I don't really need an apple corer or new flatware. (Sorry, God, but I'm going to try again to put the order through later.)

Fortunately, I don't have much on my schedule this week. I realize I'm lucky to have the option not to stay inside and rest on this icky day. I'm just itching to get on with my year.
