Time Marches On

While I'm not one to wish time away, I have to say I'm glad this month is over! By the time I had to enter my online scoring availability for November, I had gotten a little smarter about over-scheduling. That was before I had picked up the third class, but I'd put in only five half-days of scoring -- as opposed to the twenty or so I had in October. If I had scheduled any more scoring than that for next month, I would have been put in the position of having to cancel shifts, and I hate to do that.

Even though it was a rough month work-wise, it was wonderful in many other ways. First of all, I'm reaping the financial rewards of so much work, which is nice. Being so busy hasn't left me with much time to indulge in spending, which is also good. My medical insurance isn't terrific, so I have some bills I'm still paying off from my foot surgery. Picking up the additional class has positioned me well for future opportunities -- also good. My son and my granddaughter both had birthdays this month, which reminds me how lucky I am to have family who loves me and whom I love and have chances to spend time with.

Now that it's over, the month seems more good than bad. But in the midst of it, I wasn't sure I would be able to juggle everything until it ended.
