A Half-Gallon Bottle Never Looked So Big

I'm on my second glass of a concoction of Gatorade and Miralax, preparaing for my colonoscopy tomorrow. I'll type fast. I also took two Dulcolax tablets a few hours ago, and I'm sure the combination of this blend will start working its "magic" soon. In the past when I've had abdominal surgery (I've never had a colonoscopy, so that's the only thing I can relate it to), I've had to drink a disgusting liquid; I think it's called sodium citrate. The Gatorade mixture is better, but I had to dump a whole container of Miralax powder into a sixty-four ounce bottle of Gatorade. It doesn't taste extremely horrible, but there sure is a lot of it and I have to drink a glass every ten to fifteen minutes. I used to like Gatorade. I have a feeling that after today I'll never want to see it again.

I don't think the procedure itself will be that bad. I'll be knocked out, so what I mean more precisely is that I'm not worried about the after-effects. I thought tonight would be a good time to get caught up on television but it seems like every commercial is for food. I haven't been able to eat solid food today, although I did go crazy on some lime Jello a while ago. I have to say I've had my fill of doctors and procedures over the past few months. I did a really good job of upping my fruit and veggie intake last week, and now that my foot is better I can start exercising. Those things should help to get me on a healthier path. After tomorrow, I'm hoping not to see a doctor for a long time.
