Good Start

I guess I could see a day in the emergency room as a bad way to start the new year, but since I got out with just a few additional meds and found out that even though some of my symptoms had become more troublesome, I'm going to see it as good. Apparently there are a few tenacious viruses going around. One of those was probably the root of my pneumonia episode and it's really hanging on. At least I know my lungs are clear -- or as clear as they can be with pneumonia -- and I don't have a pulmonary embolism. When I first got to the ER the nurse said I'd likely need to be admitted for a day or two. I felt so lousy that I honestly had no preference regarding staying or leaving. Now that I'm out, though, I'm glad. I'll stay with my son, whose house is less than a mile from the hospital, just in case but I think I'll be fine.

More rest and I'll be ready to get back to some serious house-emptying. Then I can go home, where the air is moist and there isn't a flu epidemic. As far as I know.
